For the purposes of this policy, ‘communications’ includes:

• those activities involved in the production and dissemination of material and information to the Tasmanian public – whatever the communication medium - about government policies, programs, services and initiatives
• corporate identification of Tasmanian Government agencies
• corporate identification of government programs, services and activities
• interaction and engagement with the public
• communication activities and processes within government
• communications advice to Ministers and management on issues of importance or strategic value
• communications research and analysis of public information needs
• monitoring and evaluation of communication programs and projects.
