Timing and contractors
For capital works/major maintenance projects, a good rule of thumb is that signage should be erected no more than three weeks prior to commencement and removed no more than three weeks after conclusion.
For major projects that require signage for community engagement purposes, the signage should be erected and removed as required.
For major government initiatives, signage should remain for the duration of the initiative.
Have your signage supplied and installed by a qualified supplier and seek their advice or the advice of a designer before seeking quotes/tenders. See the Communications Consultants and Service Providers Register.
